Meet Your Beef Providers!
Who We Are
Welcome to W2 Beef Company where we are committed to helping provide you the best meals for your family and get healthy meat you can trust so that you can finally find peace of mind at the dinner table. Have you ever ran out of time to cook a healthy meal before getting the kids off to their extracurriculars or purchased an expensive steak at the grocery store just to be disappointed with the flavor? Well, that is where our story begins. Just like many of our best customers, we understand what it is like to feel the guilt of yet another fast-food dinner or not be able to trust what’s being sold at the supermarket. That is why in 2023 we launched W2 Beef Company. With a few acres, just as many animals and a lot of hard work we are committed to doing things the right way. At W2 Beef Company we are committed to grain-finished feeding without any of the questionable treatment of the animals you will find in other sources. We believe this is essential for providing a quality product that is healthy for families. We are proud to be a part of the farm-to-table movement and to be able to offer our customers the highest quality meat that is perfect for families who appreciate convenience without sacrificing health. Many of our customers have found our products fill their freezers with the highest quality and healthiest beef and we believe we can do the same for you. We hope that you will join us in our mission to keep families healthy without compromise, by supporting our farm and sharing your experience with friends and family as well. Thank you for choosing W2 Beef Company. We look forward to serving you.
While we may be new to selling our beef, we are not new to farming and ranching. Kevin has farming in his blood. As a kid, he was always out in the tractor with his dad and spent his days running around on the farm. He has always wanted to farm and ranch. Kevin is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and has a bachelors degree in Agribusiness and a masters in Plant and Soil Science. Kevin works hard, cares about the land and takes initiative. He is a 4th generation farmer and rancher. His Great Grandfather, Walter John, started farming in 1918. His Grandfather, Walter Herman Waldschmidt started farming in 1945. Kevin's father, Mark started farming in 1989. Now, Kevin is farming and ranching alongside his parents. Not only do we take care of cattle, but also grow crops such as cotton, soybeans, sesame, grain sorghum, forage sorghum, wheat, and camelina. We live just north of the Kansas / Oklahoma State Line and farm in both Oklahoma and Kansas.
Stephanie grew up on a farm Northeast of Wichita, Kansas, so she has farming in her background. She is a graduate of Kansas State University and has her master's degree from Wichita State University. Prior to marrying Kevin in 2016, she worked in Wichita in the school system as a Speech Language Pathologist and enjoyed the city life. She was convinced she would never marry a farmer (and definitely not an OSU graduate....Go Wildcats!). Kevin and Stephanie were married in August of 2016. Since the cattle couldn't come to Wichita, Stephanie packed up and moved to Harper County, Kansas. She currently works as a speech language pathologist in the school setting in Oklahoma and plans to lend more of a hand in our family's operation as we provide you with quality meat! We have three kiddos who keep us busy and we think it’s an absolute blessing to share farm life with them.
About our Brand and Name
W2 was Walter Waldschmidt's (Kevin's Grandfather's) cattle brand. It is an honor to keep using his brand today and use it in our company's name. We'd like to think he would be pretty proud to see his brand still on cattle and on the packages of meat we get to share with you. W2 is also a perfect way to incorporate that it is taking both of us to make this work. Kevin farms and ranches and I do the business side of things. Teamwork makes the dream work!
